HSBC International today released its Offshore Offspring report. This report compares 6 countries with large professional expatriate populations. Key findings were:
- Australia came out on top. UK ranked last.
- 77% of British-born expats say that their child’s (or children’s) safety has increased since leaving the UK. 58% say it had increased strongly
- Expats based in the US and UK find it more expensive to raise children than in their native countries
- Hong Kong wins for being the cheapest place to raise kids in the group
