We have now launched a German version of our China guide for Expatriates. Due to the economic growth, China has become a more and more attractive destination for expatriates. According to the German embassy, in 2007 there were more than 15,000 Germans living in China, most of them in Peking in Shanghei. More than 50% of all Germans in China are living there for work reasons. As a study destination, however, China has not yet become very attractive: In 2007, there were only some 1000 German students registered in China, a very small number regarding the economic importance of China as an export market for Germany. With our China guide, we hope to help German expatriates to ease the difficulties of moving to China, and maybe even convince some more people to face the challenges of this move.
Deutsche in China
